I had my Wisdom tooth broken in half and yanked out of my jaw mid-summer 1997. It went all weird on me after the event and turned "dry socket". In other words - get this - the blood didn't clot over the hole that went down to my bone, so instead of helping to heal the wound, the obviously actually unbroken gum pulled back from the hole and left a huge gaping gap down to my actual open BONE in my jaw.

Can you even begin to imagine what that felt like? To make matters worse, I went back to my shit dentist, who had recommended this place to get it done privately in the first place (and told me it was nearly a full half less than it actually was to have done) CHARGED me to put some stupid slug like consistency gunk in to the hole (that hurt like hell) and have a prescription. To cap it all, the slug like gunk came out almost immediately, and I woke up CRYING IN PAIN the next morning. The morning of my Kai's friend's wedding! Which we were going to!! And he was helping at!

A total nightmare from start to finish, and a full year later, it has still not healed properly and hurts like buggery.
