Ok, how on earth doyou describe this person... met through a work thing, she described herself as "she" then, and was known as Della Grace. quite a roly-poly butch dyke, great photographer - really, really good photographer at times. Sometimes her photos are a bit too "in your face" but, you know... it depends on what you imagine her audience is I guess.

I didn't see her for ages, but then I saw "him" after he got back in touch. She'd been taking male hormones and already had an inbalance in her system (personally, I always think the word "inbalance" in that situation is nonsense anyway. How do we know what the balance is supposed to be, eh? Humans come on all shapes and sizes, and I think the gender balance as dictated by the body's variable hormone content is fairly fluid, frankly), she had got to the point where she no longer felt comfortable with being described as female, and she never really had felt comfortable anyway, so now Del is a man. Ok, takes a bit of getting used to, but there you go.

He's been doing some underground film making, took what he described as a porn flick to some festivals, and is puting out some coffee table books of photography later in the year.
