Gina

I've known Gina longer than I've known anybody outside the family, which given that I met her when I was 20, is pathetic. However, that having been said, our relationship as friends is, how can I put this: curious. I had an enormous crush on her for years. I mean, almost to the point of it being offensive. Then I went mental over one thing and another, and she couldn't handle having a mental person around, which hurt me very deeply indeed so for quite a while I didn't speak to her.

Then I pointed her out at a party to my friend Stu, as "that's the girl I shared a flat with who I had the enormous crush on". Given that friends will by definition have at least some things in common, I should have realised the results. Well over two years later, they're still together. it was a bit odd at first, but now we're all used to it, it's actually really nice having comfortable old friends around you. Funny old business, friendship. I still find myself learning about it, even now.
